Starting on November 15,2009 was the Medicare Advantage Enrollment period. Medicare Advantage plans are health plan options that are approved by Medicare , but ran by private insurance companies. They are part of the medicare program sometimes called "Part C'. When a beneficiary elects one of these plans they still receive medicare coverage; however the beneficiary usually has to receive services and treatments from a specific network.
